Responsibilities

• To recognize and exploit new application fields for our electron microscopy analyzers (EMA) product line, incl. EDS, WDS and EBSD
   - Observation and analysis of market trends and competition
   - Application development to expand servable market segments
• To conduct product presentations/demonstrations in-house or on-site at prospective customers
   - Explanation of operating principles
   - Analysis of customer samples
   - Documentation and presentation of results (reports)
• To support Sales and Customer Support
   - Compilation of application notes in collaboration with Sales and HQ of Berlin’s application dept.
   - Publication of scientific articles in lab journals, etc.
   - Participation in conferences and presentation of scientific talks
• To support product development
   - Test of newly developed instruments, components and software
• To provide after sales customer application support
   - Consulting and problem solving by telephone, e-mail or in person
• To support product and method development
   - Participation in development and definition of new product concepts
   - Participation in test and validation of newly developed products or product versions

Qualifications

Education and Experience
• Better to took Master degree or Ph.D. in chemistry, physics, materials science or related discipline
• Experience with electron microscopy, EDS, WDS and EBSD preferred
• More than two year experiences for electron microscopy, EDS (and or) some analytical instruments

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organization skills
• Ability to multitask, good team player
• Solid theoretical understanding and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Japanese and English
• A self-motivated individual who is able to be productive member of a global team
• Willingness and ability to travel as required, approximately 50% domestic and international
• Possible to take a good personal communication with team member, electron microscope makers and end users in mother language
