  • Overview

    Support Bruker’s Imaging/MRMS Business Unit achieve its goals through professional scientific support of product marketing and sales.

    The successful candidate will report to the Applications Manager and coordinate with Global Applications teams and other Business Unit resources to complete assigned projects. The primary area of responsibility will be supporting the Imaging/MRMS Business Unit to meet sales targets and growth projections. The position is based at Bruker Daltonics in Billerica, MA and candidates must be willing to relocate. The position requires domestic as well as international travel.

    Responsibilities

    • Directly support sales activity through multiple mechanisms such as analyze challenging samples, deliver reports of analysis results, and demonstrate products to prospective customers.
    • Directly support marketing efforts through multiple mechanisms such as producing technical documents and promotional materials that highlight new and innovative applications of products.
    • Support pre-sales activity through multiple mechanisms such as joint sales visits and delivering technical presentations at customer sites.
    • Provide post-sales applications support.
    • Develop new applications and workflows to be used as promotional and technical material at scientific conferences and marketing seminars.
    • Maintain technical proficiency and knowledge of new developments and technology in the field through research and collaborations, providing feedback into product improvement or innovation. 

    Qualifications

     PhD with at least 3 years of experience in imaging mass spectrometry and operation of high performance mass spectrometers.

    • Experience using high resolution mass spectrometers or MRMS is desired.
    • Highly motivated and able to work independently in a matrix environment.
    • Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with customers at all skill levels.
    • PhD is nice to have.  Must have at least 3 years of experience in imaging mass spectrometry and operation of high performance mass spectrometers.
