    Responsibilities

    New opportunity based in Billerica, MA for an International Tax Analyst to join the Corporate Tax team to focus on international tax reporting, tax provision, tax compliance and tax planning. 

    • Perform quarterly and year-end tax accounting computations timely and accurately, including calculations related to requirements pursuant to US Tax Reform such as Global Intangible Low Taxed Income (GILTI), Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII) and Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT). Ensure results are in accordance with ASC 740 and FIN 48 under US GAAP.
    • Responsible for preparing Country by Country Reporting (CbCR) reports and notifications under the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPs) initiative put forth by the OECD. This includes working with foreign entity controllers to collect data necessary for filing reports with the IRS and utilizing the BEPs action manager in OneSource.
    • Identify transactions that create and prepare calculations for Subpart F, foreign source and previously taxed income.
    • Identify transactions that create Section 956 deemed dividends, 986 currency gain or loss, and 78 tax gross-up and prepare calculations accordingly.
    • Prepare Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, 1118 and related work papers for U.S. owned foreign entities.
    • Maintain and enhance Company work papers relating to earnings and profits, foreign tax credit pools, and other tax attributes.
    • Calculate current and projected U.S. foreign tax credit utilization and carry forward positions, along with
    • Compile data and assist with the preparation of transfer pricing calculations and documentation.
    • Evaluate and identify various international transactions to understand and communicate tax consequences, reporting obligations, and risks.
    • Conduct research of technical international tax matters and prepare memoranda to document conclusions.
    • Engage in special projects, including tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, provision, forecasting, tax audits, corporate initiatives and identifying process efficiencies.
    • Ensure that all filing deadlines are met in compliance with the Company Tax Calendar.
    • Work effectively with other departments of Corporate Finance and be able to communicate tax initiatives.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, CPA or MST preferred.
    • Minimum 5-7 years Tax Department work experience within a multinational company or Big Four firm, including at least one recent year of direct international tax responsibility.
    • Proven knowledge of international aspects of U.S. taxation as well as foreign taxation.
    • Solid understanding of ASC 740 and U.S. federal taxation.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to highlight unexpected results.
    • Strong oral, written, computer, interpersonal, analytical, and technical communication and presentation skills including MS Office proficiency and knowledge of Thomson Reuters OneSource RS tax software, OneSource Provision software, OneSource Workflow Manager (Dataflow), BPC, and other related financial software.
    • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex global environment and build positive business relationships with all parties.
    • Possesses core Finance competencies such as People Management, Collaboration & Teamwork, Influence & Communication, Business Insight, Project Management, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Critical Thinking Analysis, Drives for Results, and Finance Expertise.
    • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
    • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
    • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
    • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
