A key member of the APAC Regional Finance and Accounting leadership team, with primary responsibility for the Bruker’s finance and accounting organization in Korea. Is highly visible to the Finance Director, Asia Pacific, the Corporate Finance and Accounting leadership team, and Group/Division Finance. Will interact directly with Korea commercial leadership and business partners. Leads a high-performing team and develops finance talent.
Is the principal advisor to the Finance Director, Asia Pacific on matters related to financial, compliance, legal,and administrative support in Korea. Provides insight into value creation drivers that support growth in company profitability and cash flow performance
Owns the general ledgers for the Korea legal entity. Is ultimately accountable for the accuracy of the Korea financial results in accordance with US and KR GAAP and Company policies. Has direct responsibility for creating and maintaining an appropriate internal financial control environment in all aspects of the function. As needed, provides clear and balanced recommendations to resolve important accounting and finance matters requiring estimation or application of judgment.
Advises commercial leaders in Korea on local financial, statutory, and regulatory matters. In collaboration with Group/Divisional Finance, provides financial support on matters impacting the achievement of local objectives. Stays current with changes in the business to determine impact on the business’ financial statements.
Responsible for Business Compliance include managing and overseeing ethics and compliance matters for Bruker Korea and enhancing our overall compliance program in Korea. Understands, and provides leadership over, Bruker’s Code of Conduct, FCPA, KFTC rules and Business compliance policies. Knows when to involve others.
Has credibility with, and the respect of, commercial colleagues as a trusted advisor. Is direct as well as diplomatic. Diplomatically handles complex topics, varied audiences, and difficult questions and continuous objections. Can win concessions without damaging relationships.
Manages all areas of Korea financial support including but not limited to: financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting; business analysis; treasury and taxation; and capital budgeting. Specific responsibilities include: contract review and approval, credit and collections, revenue recognition, accounts payable, travel and entertainment, general accounting, government grant accounting, cash management, tax reporting and compliance, SOX compliance, and statutory reporting (including reconciliation to US GAAP).
Is customer focused. Understands the business and is responsive to the needs of commercial business partners. Incorporates the voice of the customer in the organization’s activities. Monitors and communicates customer satisfaction and service levels. Implements improvements, as needed
Drives continuous process improvement with standard, global practices that improve the quality and productivity of Bruker Korea finance team. Continuously work with the commercial leadership to leverage the country’s Finance and Administration team by centralizing and streamlining finance, and logistics activities, leveraging technology whenever possible. Leads initiatives to implement improvements. Stays current with external trends and best practices to drive continuous process improvement of the company’s F&A operations
Provides high-quality Budgets and forecasts and consistently meets financial commitments within areas of direct management responsibility. Support and implement Division investment and cost reduction programs as required

Is a visible and effective ambassador for the Finance Director, Asia Pacific, VP, Corporate Finance and Accounting, EVP and CFO, and Finance and Accounting leadership team both inside and outside the company. Ensures that important company and functional messages, including priorities and goals, are cascaded throughout the organization. Ensures team members clearly understand their roles and are motivated to achieve goals and objectives.
Maintains a high-performing finance organization (including external resources). Evaluates talent using desired finance competencies, and effectively implements the company’s performance management practices. Actively develops finance talent and contributes to the development of future finance leaders.
Strong expertise in finance, accounting, compliance, taxation, regulatory and business environment in Korea with experience in best practices of MNC with global operating model
Current knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and Company accounting policies and practices. Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
Strong business acumen and judgment. Able to think strategically about business issues. Broad understanding of Bruker markets/products and industry dynamics
Strong business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills that generate business insights that add measurable value. Current knowledge of current trends in finance and functional best-practices.

Over 10 years of Finance experience with demonstrated success in a variety of business environments and leadership positions. CPA with undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required.
Experience in SAP is preferred
Substantial experience in compliance function will be advantageous
