    Responsibilities

    New opportunity based in Billerica MA for a Staff Accountant to join the Regional Finance Americas Team.

    • Serve as a member of the Finance team working to streamline the close and reporting cycle. This position is a key contributor to the movement of certain US Divisional Finance activities to Regional Finance Americas.
    • A key contributor of the monthly close for the US divisions: identifies ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the monthly close and reporting.
    • Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations and other analysis as requested by leadership.
    • Prepares the monthly business unit financial statements and other related commentary included in the entity analytical report. 
    • Work closely with the Business, Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Reporting and Planning functions to ensure the quality, accuracy and consistency of the financial data reported in the general ledger and consolidation system. 
    • Work effectively across the company’s functional organizations. Promote effective lateral communication and coordination across groups, both internal and external to the Finance function, to improve efficiency and achieve desired results. 
    • Ensure that all reports comply with applicable FASB and SEC regulations, professional standards, and organization policies. Prepare and assist with applicable government reports.
    • Assist in the quarterly and annual audit of the US in-scope entities with the external auditors.
    • Support the SEC reporting by preparing assigned supplemental schedules.
    • Conduct financial studies and analyses as requested by management and further improve the quality of information collected in the month-end closing process.
    • Perform other duties as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance required.  CPA or Master Degree preferred.
    • Minimum 3+ years of public accounting or publicly traded company accounting experience preferred.
    • Current knowledge of US GAAP accounting and auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and company accounting policies and practices. 
    • Strong business analysis, financial planning and reporting skills with ability to generate business insights that add measurable value.
    • Knowledge of current trends in finance and functional best-practices related to position responsibilities.
    • Excellent workload prioritization, resource management, and project management skills, including ability to develop and manage processes that are effective and efficient.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and capable of gaining commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.
    • Maintain effective working relationships across the company, at  divisional, functional, and corporate levels
    • Proven adaptive capability and demonstrated familiarity with organizational change.
    • Operates at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, and personal integrity.
    • Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency with SAP or other large ERP work experience.
    • Experience with consolidated financial systems preferred (BPC, Hyperion, Cognos), both internal and external financial reporting and consolidated financial analysis.
    • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
    • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
    • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
    • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
    • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
