SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general direction from the BPEN Mechanical Engineering Supervisor. primary responsibilities will include the building and updating of custom design modules
or custom features for the Optical Metrology Tools. Additional tasks required include creating BOMs, Engineering Change Orders, cost analysis, procedure creation, building and testing. Working with the US engineering team to create new products.
Analyzing, designing, developing/modifying, testing, and debugging design enhancements and features for the Optical and Stylus Metrology Tools (90%):
Employee has to be able to easily and quickly switch between assignments, and often handle several assignments at a time. The person must be able to use a computer for design and use hand tools for prototype assembly.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Requires 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and development. Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of BS in Mechanical Engineering Design. Experience in software and electrical engineering is also desired. Experience with hardware interfacing is a plus. Should be hard working, team oriented, bright, creative, cooperative, and exceptionally good at problem solving
