    Responsibilities

    XRD Applications Scientist to support pre and after sales activities in the APAC Region. 

     

    Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

     

    • Conduct demonstration of XRD hardware and software at our facility in Singapore

    • Contribute to the overall readiness of the demonstration lab to receive any last minute visitors

    • Conduct in-house and customer trainings

    • To complete sample measurements and reports in the most expeditious manner, as required by the sales process

    • Collaborate with customers on methods development

    • Oral and poster presentations at Scientific Conferences in the region to share latest innovations in XRD by Bruker

    • Together with Application Lab in Germany produce PowerPoint presentations, scientific posters and lab reports on current trends

    • Support periodical marcom activities requiring XRD expertise

     

    Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, Mineralogy, or related Physical Science.

    • Minimum 3 years of application experience in any field involving extensive use of XRD, especially with Rietveld. 

    • Working knowledge of Rietveld, SAXS and HR-XRD will be an advantage

    • Excellent verbal and written communications in English

    • Good knowledge of MS Outlook and other Office modules

    • Travelling will be about 40%, occasionally at short notice

    • 2-3 month training stint in Germany required
