  • Overview

    This position reports direct into Head of IT Operations and Service, Asia Pacific. This is an individual contributor role.


    • Responsible for in-country delivery of all IT Support Services, IT Operations and IT Infrastructure at Bruker Malaysia facilities, including Penang and other commercial/secondary sites, in support of remote users.
    • Focal point for Operational implementation of roll-out and project within the company.
    • Ensure software and hardware are aligned with corporate enterprise solution, making effective use of Corporate Solution to deliver best business value.
    • Recommend and implement IT Polices/Standard/Processes for the company, including putting in place an effective IT support structure and procedure.
    • Manage telecommunication system and local contract include Fixed Line and Internet.
    • Prepare and participate in annual IT auditing and SOX compliance exercise.
    • Participate as a part of Global IT Team and be accountable for all Global IT activity and performance in Malaysia .
    • Keep up-to-date on current technology, act as the domain expert and address local IT requirements.
    • Provide regional IT support as and when required.


    Education/Certification and Work Experience

    • Educated to Degree level in a Computer Science subject or related equivalent.
    • Professional certification (ITIL, CCNA and/or MSCE) Preferred
    • Minmum 7 years experience of working in a multi-tier IT Support organization.
    • Proven knowledge of service delivery and support to effectively manage IT service.
    • Hands-on experience in managing LAN/WAN Environment, network configuration and administration of CISCO switching and Checkpoint Firewall.
    • Hands-on experience in adminstration of VMWare environment, Wintel and Linux Server.
    • Good communication, interpersonal, analytical and planning skills with strong leadership traits.
    • Proactive, organized, resourceful person with ability to provide quick resolution to problem and advice.

    • Knowledge of Windows Operating System.
    • Knowledge of Internetworking
    • Knowledge of Cisco hardweare and Firewall concept.
    • Knowledge of backup and business continuity
    • Knowledge of switches, routers, VOIP, Security and various network services.
    • Excellent administration and reporting.
