    Bruker Nano Surfaces Division (BNS) is looking for a junior Sales Engineer (m/f) to grow its industrial business in France. This is an opportunity to drive business growth of a dynamic product portfolio consisting of 3D Stylus, Optical Profilers,Tribology and  Mechanical Testers.     We are particularly interested in candidates with a solid background in metrology instrumentation to serve industrial markets such as precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor and medical.

     

    The Sales Engineer (m/f) is expected to meet or exceed sales target for the three Business Units under supervision of the local Sales territories managers. He/she is taking an active part in the he Sales territory and tactical strategic planning and execution. The role involves close collaboration with our applications and marketing teams and provides opportunity for the candidate to devise, own and execute all aspects of a territory sales plan using a wide range of internal resources. He/she will have regular reporting on status and progress to our Sales Manager, France. The position is either based in Palaiseau, France or home based.

    Responsibilities

    • Meet or exceed sales target for the three Business Units
    • Active participation in the sales territory strategic and tactical planning and execution under senior sales local territories managers
    • Regular reporting on status and progress to Sales Manager France
    • Develop and execute sales growth strategies
    • Acting as player, working with local territories managers, sales apps and field assistants
    • Product presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as required
    • Develop a strong understanding of competitive and funding landscape within the territory
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
    • Identify key opinion leading customers in the region and ensure maintenance of good working relationships
    • Feedback to BNS sales management on the development and execution of sales strategy
    • Regular and accurate sales forecasting via CRM

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Physics, Materials Science or Engineering or other Scientific discipline
    • Experience in industrial markets (precision engineering/automotive/aerospace/medical) of particular interest
    • Positive “can do” attitude, a highly motivated self-starter
    • Relishes working in a performance-driven environment
    • Resourceful, proactive, meticulous
    • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve shared goals, but also equally comfortable working independently when required
    • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Goal oriented
    • Solid understanding of surface measurement techniques, specifically Surface Profiling (stylus and non-contact optical methods) as well as tribology
    • Competent PC skills, particularly with MS office software
    • Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice
    • Typically 60% of travelling (as required)
