    We are currently seeking a skilled Applications Scientist (m/f) who will be responsible for supporting the sales and marketing efforts of Bruker's highly successful electron microscope analyzer product line. The position is based at Bruker Nano Analytics GmbH headquarters in Berlin, Germany but will support our products worldwide.


    • Provide pre- and postsales support for Bruker electron microscope analyzers (EDS for SEM and TEM, WDS, EBSD, Micro-XRF on SEM)
    • Perform instrument and software demonstrations to potential customers globally  
    • Prepare and analyse customer samples
    • Create lab reports and applications notes
    • Provide Webinars and online demos to potential customers
    • Train and support channel partners and distributors globally
    • Conduct seminsars, workshops and represent the company at trade shows and conferences
    • Create and present scientific posters and give scientific speeches at conferences
    • Develop new applications for new and emerging markets
    • Plan and execute advanced user training at Bruker Nano and customer sites
    • Generate user manuals and technical product brochures
    • Provide e-mail and phone support for operational and technical questions related to the product line         
    • Train Bruker service personnel and channel partners on new products and product features
    • Provide assistance in resolving applications related problems from the field
    • Test beta products and software prior release 


    • Ph.D. degree, or equivalent, in Applied / Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Life Science or related technical disciplines
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience incl. Ph.D./postdoc in electron microscopy
    • In depth knowledge of elemental analysis (EDS, WDS, EBSD) on electron microspopes required
    • Good understanding of electon microscopy and comfort operating a SEM independently
    • Knowledge in SEM / TEM sample preparation would be desirable
    • Existing connections to scientific community and measurable achievments (publications) are considerd a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
    • Excellent written and verbal English language skills, German language skills are considered a plus
    • Willingness and ability to travel worldwide (up to 50 % of the time)
