    Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings and engineering drawings required to perform the build of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Use of assembly hand tools is required to include crimp tools, arbor presses, torque wrenches, and other hand tools as required. Must be able to tin wires, solder wires onto contact points and effectively use heat shrink and heat guns. Must be able to build finished assemblies within defined time standards and with a high level of quality. Must be able to determine methods and procedures to accomplish the assigned tasks utilizing the drawings and tooling provided for the required assembly.




    Must be able to understand detailed assembly drawings, drawing parts lists, required hardware and drawing assembly notes. Must be able to build complex electro-mechanical assemblies using crimp tools, hex drivers, torques wrenches, soldering irons and all other hand tools as required. Must build the assembly with a quality requirement of >95% defect free. Must disposition defective parts via the NCMR process. Must take responsibility of the assemblies being built to include identifying parts that do not align correctly, cosmetic defects, identifying drawing errors, identifying tooling that is damaged or does not work correctly and completing required tracking cards/sheets in accordance with approved methods.




    Must be able to communicate effectively and provide limited guidance and instruction to other non-exempt personnel within the department that are performing similar duties. Must be able to both control and account for inventory that has been issued to the required assembly to include point of use inventory on the production floor. Must be able to complete all other duties as assigned that are within the job responsibility.




    Must possess visual acuity necessary to read very detailed drawings and work with very small mechanical parts. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. individually and lift 50 lbs. in a two person lift.





    Must possess a working knowledge of computers and computer programs necessary to perform bench verification of proper assembly techniques. This includes using computer based fixtures and bench set ups required to verify proper assembly operation. Must possess a working knowledge of how to navigate in Windows XP and Windows 7.




    A minimum of a high school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of related electro-mechanical assembly experience are required.
