    Bruker is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager with proven process management skills who excels in cross-functional teamwork and will be responsible for providing technical leadership and support in regards to engineering, quality, and continuous improvement activities

    Your role will be to define and deliver an effective operational engineering strategy enabling sustainability and future business growth.

    Hours: Monday- Friday - 8AM-4:30PM

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the process documentation process, ensuring clear direction to manufacturing employees requiring quality and safety in all operations.
    • Develop and maintain proficiency with the processes and technical details necessary for successful superconducting wire manufacture (i.e. extrusion, drawing, testing, failure analysis and PLC programming.
    • Maintain customer specification records and align with process specifications.
    • Manage capital projects to effectively execute the goals of the continuous improvement effort. Monitor and control project milestones, deadlines, and budgets, utilizing formal tools and approaches.
    • Define and create preventive maintenance procedures and evaluate their effectiveness.
    • Develop, troubleshoot, and review maintenance of tooling, dies, and fixtures.
    • Provide technical support to business functions such as Accounting, Maintenance and Research & Development as needed.
    • Maintain product costing parameters within the ERP system.
    • Daily hands-on production troubleshooting and problem resolution.
    • Manage all aspects of the Manufacturing Engineering department to deliver planned performance within agreed budgets.
    • Implement a teamwork based environment based on individual performance management and feedback.

    Qualifications

    • Advanced degree or equivalent in science or engineering discipline.
    • Experience in applied superconductivity is a plus but not required.
    • Proven record of successful engineering project management with experience over 5-10 years.
    • Practical experience with engineering and business processes such as project planning, NPI stage gates, design and process FMEA.
    • Working experience utilizing Kaizen and Kanban Principles
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Expert facilitation skills and familiarity in lead of cross functional teams
    • Demonstrated diagnostic skills utilized in problem resolution as well as predictive capacity
    • Adept at working in a customer facing environment
    • Proven ERP system skills
    • Working knowledge of Solid Works or similar CAD software.
    • Financial and commercial competence.
