    Responsibilities

    • HW/FW design of electrical modules and systems for the operation of analytical X-ray instruments
    • Prototyping and transfer to serial production
    • Definition and implementation of test procedures and test hardware for  systems/modules based on LabView
    • Support of internal and external partners involved in the production chain
    • Interface function between the international R&D teams and the Penang facility
    • Guidance of the international certification process at the Penang facility (global requirements regarding electrical, machinery and X-ray safety)

    Qualifications

    • Master degree in electrical engineering
    • Experience gained in R&D projects (in the field of X-ray instrumentation or analytical instrumentation appreciated)
    • Very good skills in PCB design (digital and analog circuitries)
    • Profound experience with test and CAE tools (LabVIEW and preferably OrCAD/PSpice/Zuken E3)
    • Embedded programming knowledge using C/C++
    • Good cooperation and communication skills in international teams
    • Appreciation and understanding of different cultures and religions
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Assignment will begin with a training session at a Bruker AXS facility in Germany (duration about one month). Occasional travel to Germany within the scope of R&D projects
