  • Responsibilities



    Application engineer is responsible for pre-sales activities including the demonstration and sample analysis using BSEMI AAFM products, technical presentation and development of new applications. Primary responsibilities are to increase sales opportunities, win against competitors, and to help close sales cases working with sales account managers.



    • Demonstration and sample analysis using BSEMI products for the prospective customer
    • Technical presentation at the customers7 location and meeting
    • Development of new application as required meeting customer expectations.
    • Diagnostics and troubleshooting of AAFM applications and systems, product training, installation and applications support.
    • Evaluation and commercialization of new product including software working with BU team to launch smoothly into Japan territory.
    • Improvement of customers' satisfaction for repeat orders working with sales account manager, BU technical support and field service team.
    • Closely working with sales account manager to develop and execute marketing plan and to create customer demand
    • Participating in conferences and trade shows.
    • Assisting sales account manager in generating leads.
    • Having good relation with other region application team and BU application team for on-going improvement application skill and technical knowledge.



    • Experience in related Semiconductor, Data Storage, MEMS processing such as CMP, Lithography, Etch, and Deposition
    • Demonstrated oral & written communications and interpersonal relationship skills, particularly intercultural skills; strong customer orientation.
    • Must have experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
    • Ability to work multitask and as team player.
    • Tenacity and self-motivation inspired by success, enthusiasm, drive and initiative directed towards customer satisfaction
    • Ability to operate alone and to perform in a clear and understandable way, and ability to provide customer training.
    • Commercial skills, such as selling and describing semiconductor equipment and related products
    • Self-discipline and the ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment
    • Semiconductor experience and knowledge
    • Good technical understanding of metrology, Statistics, Gauge Studies, and Semiconductor materials
    • Ability to travel internationally up to 50% of the time
    • Proven track record in interaction with customers
    • Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken



    • Bachelor or Master's degree in Physics or Engineering required.
    • Candidate must have >5 years of applications engineering experience.

       Experience with semiconductor metrology or related test equipment preferred. Prior experience in X-Ray or AFM is preferred.
