    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Working Knowledge and ability to use Windows operating system and Microsoft based programs, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook.
    • Ability to process orders for shipment in standard courier system software i.e. FedEx, UPS
    • Excellent clerical, data entry skills to maintain integrity of inventory accuracy in database, file records and perform routine audits.
    • Excellent verbal/ written communication and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Analyze, process and prepare orders for delivery in SAP to both Domestic and International destinations.
    • Interface with internal and external customers, foreign order administration, freight forwarders, customs officers and other functional areas to ensure coordination and logistics of shipment.
    • Selects carrier/forwarder for shipment of products and prepares documents for freight forwarders, as needed.
    • Ability to review, and pack orders for shipment.
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control methodologies
    • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

    PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for most of a scheduled shift of at least 8 hours.
    • Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
    • Job requires frequent bending, stooping and kneeling.

     

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Experience with SAP Sales and Distribution and Material Movement modules is preferred.
    • Experience and understanding of warehouse operations, and proven ability to apply knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
    • Ability to complete tasks that require sound judgement and decision making in resolving issues; capable of making appropriate recommendations to resolve issues.
    • With minimal supervision ability to follow daily standard work instructions , and general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

     

    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in international shipping and export compliance required.
