    This position will assist the Director of Technical Accounting in completing the worldwide implementation of the new US-GAAP Lease Accounting standard.  This position will also assist in completing remaining aspects of the US-GAAP Revenue Recognition Accounting standard implementation and in providing training to worldwide finance in both of these areas.



    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: List in priority order (most important first), add percentage of time required to perform activity at end of each function responsibility. 

    1. Assume overall project manager role for the U.S. GAAP Lease Accounting standard implementation, including project plan updates, leading project team meetings, coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure timely completion of various aspects of the implementation, and preparing presentations to management and worldwide finance.

    Percentage of Time:   40%


    1. Coordinate and help drive implementation of a new Lease Accounting and Reporting tool.

    Percentage of Time:   20%


    1. Create and document new standardized leases processes, driving implementation worldwide.

    Percentage of Time:   15%


    1. Analyze current lease data to determine missing or inconsistent data, obtaining from the appropriate personnel. In addition, create process to capture new 2018 lease information and incorporate into overall implementation process.

    Percentage of Time:   10%


    1. Prepare training materials and update Corporate Accounting policies on new technical accounting matters, including Lease Accounting and Revenue Recognition. Assist in communicating and training to appropriate employees.

    Percentage of Time:   10%


    1. Prepare framework to complete new accounting standard implementations, creating a roadmap as a starting point in the future.

    Percentage of Time:   5%



    Perform other duties as required.




    • Involvement in reviewing revenue transactions to ensure compliance with Bruker accounting policy proper accounting and proper support has been obtained. 
    • Assist in acquisition integration process from an overall Bruker perspective. 
    • Perform special accounting and other adhoc projects as required.

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and details effectively with the ability to manage non-negotiable timelines.
    • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company, in a professional manner demonstrating effective verbal/written communication skills.
    • Strong work ethic, organizational and problem solving skills.



    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (List in priority order with “required” items first)

    • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance required.  Master degree preferred.  CPA a plus with 5-10 years experience.
    • Strong experience in project management.
    • Proven experience implementing new accounting standards, including understand the impacts
    • Ability to research and evaluate complex accounting transactions and issues to determine proper accounting treatment. 
    • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, computer, quantitative and technical communication, organizational, and presentation skills, including advanced MS Office proficiency with superior Excel and PowerPoint capability.  
    • Proven ability to communicate effectively with various organization levels and cultural sensitivity.
