  • Responsibilities

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Performs site surveys, pre-installation, installation of Bruker Semiconductor Metrology Tools for customers both domestic and international

    - Performs monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual periodic maintenance within established time frames of Bruker Tools for customers both domestic and international

    - Performs diagnostics, troubleshooting, upgrade of Bruker Tools for customers both domestic and international

    - Performs basic applications support of Bruker Tools for customers both domestic and international

    - Front line customer interface and support

    - Create, develop, and continuously improve the customer support & applications knowledge database

    - Tracks and reports performance of systems as assigned and assists in uptime improvement

    - Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with customers

    - Attends continued training on company systems

    - Includes on-call status

    - Report Service activities in SAP system

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    - 85% Diagnostics and troubleshooting of Bruker systems, product training, installation, upgrade, preventative maintenance, and basic applications support

    - 15% Knowledge data base development

     

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    - Other duties as assigned

     

    PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    - 80% travel domestically on short notice

    - 5% travel internationally on short notice

    - Able to work in production floor, cleanroom, & laboratory environments

    - Must have a valid driver's license.

    Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Knowledge:

    - Good theoretical understanding of Electronics, Mechanical and Physics to enable problem solving of complex system

     

    Skill:

    - Good verbal and written communication in English

    - Accurate and prompt reporting skills

     

    Abilities:

    - Ability to multitask & team player

    - Determination and ability to work long hours with high pressure

    - Independency in prioritization and execution of job

    - Excellent interpersonal relations

    - High level of customer service orientation

    - High integrity

     

    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    Education: BS/MS degree in Electronics/Physics/Mechanical or related field

    Experience:

    1. Experience in technical/service support of metrology equipment is preferable
    2. Atomic Force Microscopy and/or associated applications experience is plus
