    Responsibilities:

    SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Sales Product Specialist will be responsible for high level pre- and post-sales of Bruker Nano Surface’s Fluorescent Microscopy (FM) business unit products in North America region, specifically Light-sheet systems and accessories.  Job duties primarily include direct sales and application efforts and teaming with sales applications personnel in the factory to drive and win business.

     *****This position is home office based and can be located anywhere within the territory.*****

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Develop sales funnel for fluorescence microscopy Light-sheet products; monitor and ensure adequate amount of leads feeding the funnel and ensure selling methods of high conversion of opportunities
    • Understand and refine best success practice selling approaches.  Utilize such processes.
    • Clearing outline customer’s order requirements and accurately reflect in quotation process.
    • Perform instrument demonstrations and discuss application needs from the prospects and sell on our unique selling points
    • Perform roadshows and hands-on workshops to generate leads and opportunities
    • Communicate back support needs to the FM business unit.
    • Build accurate forecasts and deliver results accurate to forecasts.
    • Understand the specifications, performance, unique selling points and pricing guidelines for all products.
    • Make compelling presentations to customers.
    • Train channel partners as for sales. 
    • Technical ability to perform Applications function and demos independently

     

    Qualifications

     

    Qualifications:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

     

    • Understands the needs of life science customers.
    • Capable in selling advanced technology instrumentation.
    • Have hands-on experience and knowledge about at least two of the three techniques: super resolution, multiphoton microscopy and fluorescent confocal microscopy
    • Good communication

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    • Assist MarCom activity to increase leads and opportunities such as captaining trade shows/exhibitions.
    • Coordinate communication with the Service teams.
    • Communicate competitive information back into the business unit.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

     

     

    PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    Frequent visits to customer base throughout North America and ability to travel back to business unit upon request.

     

    Qualifications:

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

     

    • Understands the needs of life science customers.
    • Capable in selling advanced technology instrumentation.
    • Have hands-on experience and knowledge about at least two of the four techniques: light-sheet, super resolution, multiphoton microscopy and fluorescent confocal microscopy
    • Good communicator and experience consultative selling skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with MS office proficiency.
    • Good problem solving skills
    • Energetic self-starter with a strong work ethic.
    • Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice.
    • Has sold microscopy products in North America
    • Understanding and experience in open source image processing (FIDJI, Image J, etc)

     

     

    EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a Biological Science field or 3 years and a Master’s degree or a PhD.  Advanced degree preferred.
    • Experience in advance fluorescence microscopy techniques and instruments. Light-sheet experience preferred.
    • Excellent English language communication skills required.

    REPORTING

      • The position reports to the Bruker Nano Surfaces Sales Manager, North America
