To deliver impactful pre-sales and after-sales application support for all AIC’s HiRes based solutions (HiRes) in Clinical RTD market and Forensics market in close cooperation with the KA Sales Executive Manager for all AIC customers. An extension to FFB market might be considered in future.
To closely partner with existing and targeted Key Account Customers (technical functions) in order to shorten the sales cycle to close a Design-In and to help identify new and scalable business opportunities which capitalize on the existing AIC’s product portfolio or AIC’s technologies and core capabilities .
To feedback these new requirements to the Divisional R&D and Product Management in an actable way.
To closely work with SLS*-GChina in such a way that SLS-GChina gradually becomes self-sufficient in installation and training of AIC’s solution portfolio. (*Service and Lifecycle Support Division)
Essential Job Functions:
Pre-Sales support and After Sales support
Will closely work with the AIC KA Sales Executive in GChina to deliver impactful presentations and pre-sales support for AIC’s Clinical RTD portfolio in targeted KAs by performing the below:
An extension to the FFB market portfolio might be considered in future.
- solution demonstrations,
- technical webinars / workshops
- in house and on site customer training and support,
- measurements on customers’ samples and review results with customers
Will closely work with Screener Application Development and Market Management by:
- assisting in trade shows, conferences, market webinars, customer workshops
- maintaining the instruments in the demo laboratory updated at all times
- support of local R&D Eco System partners as well as of International Phenome Center Network.
Will closely work with the Chief Technology Officer and his team for IVDr applications, Product Manager (HiRes Screener) on one hand and with SLS-GChina on the other hand to define a concept for Installation and After-Sales-Support with the goal of enabling SLS-GChina to become gradually self-sufficient for FFB

Education and/or Experience
M.S. or Ph.D. in the following areas is a prerequisite for this position: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Molecular Biology.
NMR Spectroscopist and Application expertise:
Understanding of workflows in Clinical Research, Translational medicine and clinical Diagnostic.
The understanding of Food analysis by NMR is a plus.
Knowledge of statistical methods and or chemometrics is desired.
Good communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, scientific thinking and teaching skills are required.
Very good communications skills in oral and written English, must be able to write at an advanced scientific level. Excellent knowledge of simplified Chinese is a must.
Efficiency in either Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems, able to create documents in MS Word, presentations in MS PowerPoint. Expertise in programs written by Bruker BioSpin Corporation, such as XWINNMR, TopSpin and others.
Other Skills and Abilities
Applications Scientists have to be able to keep the instruments in good operating condition. This includes maintenance, troubleshooting and to some extent repair.
The employee will have to travel extensively.
The employee should be familiar with quality assurance.
The single most important characteristic of the NMR applications area is the presence of very strong magnetic fields. Certain medical devices are affected by these fields. Individuals with such devices must be excluded from areas where such fields exist. This basically excludes wearers of such devices of performing this job.
