Responsibilities

 

Summary:

 

The ideal candidate will provide independent and high-level HR partnership for all aspects of the operational areas within HR with a focus on employee on-boarding and off-boarding, HR practices, immigration, and analysis of key metrics. Partner with divisional & corporate HR to provide seamless, effective full-service HR support to clients.

Functional Responsibilities:

 

  •  Responsible for transactional HR operational activities for employees, ensures compliance with HR processes and applicable laws and regulations related to staffing, compensation, employee relations, inmmigration and other assignments, etc.
  • Provides high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues
  • Partners with functional managers to process employee changes and open new role requisitions
  • Administers and adheres to company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and legal requirements
  •  Provides stellar service to employees and managers with benefit questions including, time off requests, policies, benefits, and ensures timely resolution of all employee related matters
  • Works with Sr. HR Business Partner to conduct investigations, assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Responsible for providing ongoing general human resource administrative and organizational support
  • Executes new hire orientations, provides new employees and contractors with detailed information regarding company policies and benefits
  •  Record and manage employee information such as, but not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance evaluations and termination information
  • Responsible for conducting exit interviews, collecting and analyzing data as well as running reports.
  • Maintain accident reports and complete OSHA reporting requirements.
  • Worker’s Compensation duties – provide forms and information to employees and Managers. File online claims with Zurich - Administrator.
  • Service Awards Administration – Determine employee monthly service awards, notify managers of their employee’s upcoming service anniversary and send award information to payroll. Create, print and frame award certificates.
  • Occasional HR filing and scanning as requested to ensure employee records are up to date and compliant
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 4- 6 years of progressive Human Resources work experience. Bachelor's degree in HR, Busines or Human Resources Professional Certificate program preferred.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including but not limited to Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and communications and presentation skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office. Experience with iCIMS and Success Factors preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and success in developing and maintaining effective relationships across the organization.

  • Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and work within tight deadlines.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and practices.

 

Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Human Resource Generalist I to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs., while performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods of time and occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl, talk and hear.
