Overview

The aim of this job is to develop the company’s business and to enforce BDAL as a major, market-leading supplier in Mass Spectrometry solutions in CZ/SK, including instrumentation, service, software and consumables.

The primary objectives of the job are to manage the existing CZ/SK sales force and sales support teams as well as to present and sell the products in a competitive way, raise the profile of the company in the Mass Spectrometry community and ensure customer satisfaction and post-sale. The jobholder works largely on his/her own judgment and reports to and works closely with the respective Regional Manager who will set priorities, agree expectations and provide framework support. Accurate record keeping and timely submission of documentation is pre-requisite.

Responsibilities

Cover the region CZ/SK within the EMEA Commercial team for the Bruker Daltonics Life Science Mass Spectrometry products and solutions.  

 

General Tasks:

  • Manage, guide and coach the regional sales and product specialist teams
  • Support the regional service team in tight cooperation with the Country Service Manager, and ensure alignment with sales activities as well as customer satisfaction
  • Forecast and maintain all business relevant operating figures to the EMEA Regional Sales Manager using CRM, with full responsibility for achieving the regional annual business plan
  • Running and executing own sales cases with full responsibility in a defined market / application
  • Responsible for all marketing initiatives and campaigns (conferences, company seminars, roadshows, etc.), i.e. conduct marketing exercises such as direct marketing, conference participation, exhibitions, commercial seminars, composing advertisements, mailings etc. in CZ/SK to propagate the awareness of the Bruker Daltonics Mass Spectrometry products and to win subsequent sales
  • Find new customers in industry and academia using a variety of tools ranging from personal networking to internet searches
  • Qualify potential sales leads by discussion with and understanding of the customer’s needs, support the individual sales reps of the region
  • Identify and map the opinion leaders and influence groupings in the target market and build relationships with key decision makers.
  • Identify funding sources and funding stream timescales, planning for obtaining an early favorable position for these
  • Maintain a relationship with existing customers and assist in post-sale activities
  • Ensure all staff, distributors, and all other relevant business partners are aware of and comply with the Company’s Code of Conduct

Qualifications

  • Masters/Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Life or Analytical Science (Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy or equivalent)
  • Multi-year experience in sales of separation and/or mass spectrometry instruments, customer focused
  • Proven and successful experience in managing and leading a sales team
  • Appropriate qualifications, experience and diplomacy to influence clients of Head of Department caliber at peer level
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and motivate others and contribute to the organization of a large department of skilled individuals
  • Self-motivation is essential as is a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal
  • The candidate must be an outgoing and likeable individual with a high degree of personal integrity
  • Office and/or home based in CZ/SK
  • The job involves frequent travel within CZ/SK and abroad (e.g., for customer demos in Germany)
  • Unencumbered driving license needed
