Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer requirements for existing and future products. Identifies, evaluates and recommends marketing opportunities consistent with product line objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strategic:

  • Formulate product direction and crafts product roadmap for responsible product(s).
  • Is the recognized Bruker expert, both internally and externally, for CD metrology
  • Identify customer needs, lead new product definition and attractiveness of new opportunities and potential market size.
  • Develop product line business plans, including customer penetration strategy, leading competitive analysis, managing lifecycles and product positioning and pricing strategy in terms of price-value.
  • Responsibility for execution of technical portion of JEP / JDP with customers

Tactical

  • Interact with Engineering, manufacturing and sales to enhance existing product(s) or product lines.
  • Be the leader of the XCD team to drive the engineering and marketing functions within the program
  • Provide updates to sales team and support to sales team.

 

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Detailed knowledge of business unit allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas.  Provides direction to senior managers/managers and selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Expertise in CD metrology, preferably OCD, at advanced semiconductor nodes is essential
  • Knowledge of existing OCD methods and software
  • Business-oriented, pragmatic and comfortable acting quickly and decisively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision and in a matrixed organization.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly at end of each quarter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with a sales force.
  • Exceptional and professional written and verbal communication skills with international experience.
  • Ability to interface with challenging clients, engaging in a constructive manner.
  • Experience in problem solving, coordinating cross-functional solutions and responding to non-standard customer requests.
  • This is a “hands on” highly interactive role.  Candidates must be willing to pitch in, "roll his/her sleeves up" and actually do the work. 
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as internet research.
  • Pro-active, results driven.  Strong leadership skills that can drive the organization from a marketing perspective.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 4-year technical degree BS/MS in Engineering or physical sciences. Prefer MBA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years related experience in a product line marketing role with experience in CD Metrology equipment.
  • Global travel, (on average 1-2 weeks per month)
