Bruker Nano Analytics is looking for a TXRF Applications Specialist for our operations in Madison, WI. This position works on a pre- and post-sale basis, and has the following responsibilities:


  • Perform product demonstrations; evaluate customer samples and generate technical reports on Total Reflection XRF
  • Communicate effectively with customers and sales channels and provide technical presentations when required  
  • Interface with distributors and end users to constantly feedback VOC’s, industry news, and new opportunities (applications) to the product development team.
  • Plan and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and technical seminars to promote the XMA products.
  • Provide training, as well as pre and post-sales technical and application support to distributors, agents, and end users.
  • Develop and maintain new application notes and other sales support materials to outline the typical performance of the instruments
  • Project a highly professional and competent image of Bruker and its products at all times
  • Identify new business opportunities; suggest improvements that could enhance product and operational efficiencies
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the management



Essential Functions:


  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company, in a professional manner
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel up to 60%, domestic and international when deemed necessary


The ideal candidate should have:

  • A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Applied/Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or related technical disciplines.
  • Prior work experience in the scientific instrumentation industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of TXRF, trace elemental analysis, and/or EDXRF highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and good presentation skills required
  • Ability to teach complex techniques and software operation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English; Spanish a plus
