Responsibilities

  • The function of the Bruker Optics Service Team Leader is to manage and guide the service team in Mexico on all aspects of installation, commissioning, customer training, maintenance, trouble shooting and customer support for Bruker Optics products.
  • At the same time he will act as a Field Service Engineer to provide expert hands-on technical support in the field for all service related tasks and topics for Bruker Optics customers and products.
  • Support all service related business activities in Mexico.
  • Organize the service support structure and analyze the need for updates of the organization and structure. Keep improving the service operation process based on customer satisfaction.
  • Cooperate with sales and service teams in Mexico and Germany to improve service engineer performance and productivity.
  • Develop necessary capacity and skills in the service team to cover the installed base in Mexico.
  • Provide front line customer interface through phone/e-mail/web-site, generating quotes, orders, equipment master updates, return of Bruker owned assets, transfer of technical requests to regional technical team – all in a fast, efficient and customer centric manner.
  • Implement processes to drive after sales business including service and maintenance contracts, spare parts sale, repairs, inventory management, service engineer’s schedule assignment and customer feedback.
  • Strives to improve processes and procedures for areas of responsibility
  • Generate reports for the local management and the HQ in Germany

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in field service, preferably in an international scientific instrument company
  • Good communication skills
  • Good team working and networking skills
  • Solid business acumen
  • Willing to travel over 60% of time
  • Willing to learn.and to improve skills on a constant level
  • Advanced knowledge for MS Office required. SAP experience is preferred but not a must
  • Ability to develop excellent customer relationships
  • Excellent English language skills (speaking and writing)
  • A current driving license valid in Mexico
  • No visa or other restriction preventing travel in the USA or EU

Location / Reporting

  • Job location is Bruker Mexicana in Mexico City.
  • The position reports to the Regional Manager, who will agree expectations, offer guidance as necessary and provide framework support.
