Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this individual will run the IT operations and services in Asia Pacific of a leading analytical instrumentation company. This leadership position is responsible for the day-to-day IT infrastructure operations, provision of the IT service desk and user support, implementation of modern IT systems and execution of IT standards and IT policies following the corporate IT strategy. Candidate must be able to lead and motivate IT staff, economically manage the IT organization and effectively manage external IT service providers


  • Lead and build the Asia Pacific IT organization including resource planning, staffing, training and coaching.
  • Responsible for stable and efficient management and operations of the information and communication infrastructure and provided services.
  • Responsible for IT security, enforcement of IT policies, data privacy, SOX and IT processes.
  • Responsible for operating an efficient and service-oriented helpdesk to provide support, consulting and training of high quality to our customers.
  • Annual budget planning.
  • Build and manage external IT service provider relationships to enable economic IT service delivery overall XaaS scenarios
  • IT demand management including advising end users and departments on IT matters. Ensure successful execution of business needs.
  • Close collaboration with the business stakeholders to develop and execute the business systems strategy
  • Maintain an effective communication within a global distributed IT operations and services team.

Education and/or Experience: University degree (minimum Bachelor's degree) related to Information Technology or equivalent experience. At least ten years of relevant professional experience in IT operations and administration. Subject matter expertise in IT operations and services and related components. Project management experience is preferred. Previous management experience with a broad range of customers in a multinational environment.


Computer Skills: Experiences implementing modern IT systems.


Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate internally with end-users of varying abilities; as well as externally with vendors and service providers. Strong willingness to travel.


Other Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal knowledge of English language, German language preferable, but not required
