  • Act as primary technical liaison between Bruker AXS Germany and Bruker AXS Malaysia and their suppliers:
    • Ensure communication to and from suppliers is clear and accurate.
    • Provide real-time support to suppliers for all quality, manufacturing, and technical issues.
    • Provide real-time support to production and testfield for manufacturing and technical issues.
  • Supply Chain Engineer Responsibilities:
    • Identify and qualify new suppliers
    • Audit suppliers
    • Resolve technical issues with suppliers
    • Assist German factory in communication with local suppliers
    • Work on material cost savings by through Value Engineering with assistance from German Engineering
  • Product Engineering Responsibilities:
    • Assist German Factory regarding product transfer from Germany to Malaysia
    • Lead and manage product transfer from Malaysia to local CM
    • Resolve production issues by determining root cause through FMEA.
    • Train production technicians for assembly
    • Audit manufacturing processes and procedures of CM as required.
    • Ensure tooling and test fixtures are maintained and utilized effectively
    • Interface to Germany for: ECM, work and test instructions, technical escalation, improvement processes regarding quality, cost and leadtime
  • International travel:
    International travel to Germany may be required ~12 wks per year. Actual travel duration and frequency will depend on project requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Typical percentages, actual may vary month to month):

      • Supply Chain Engineering: 40%
      • Product Engineering: 60%


  • Bachelor of Science Degree in either Mechanical Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Engineer, preferably in Manufacturing
  • Training in, or experience with Design Engineering principles, Design For Manufacturing, Manufacturing Process & Routings, Design for Assembly, Design & Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability & Value Engineering, and New Product Introduction (NPI) required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel for data processing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles and their application.
  • Highly motivated to work in a high precision environment for X-ray scientific systems facing different challenges each day
  • Experience in high tech, high mix with low volume assemblies and material science.
  • First experience in SAP for quality and production modules.
  • Ability to work in international environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally.
  • Very good English skills.
