Partnership and eCommerce Manager BBIO Services & Lifecycle Support (m/f)

 

Responsibilities

 

Function

The SLS Partnership and eCommerce manager is responsible for enhancing the consumables product portfolio of Bruker BioSpin by making partnership deals with 3rd party vendors that provide products that are in a synergy relationship to the Bruker Biospin product portfolio, supporting the implementation of the ‘one stop shop’-concept for our customer’s. The position holder will be the gatekeeper between purchasing, logistic and supply chain management to enable smooth implementation of new products and branding into the SLS product portfolio. As eCommerce manager he will be responsible for leveraging our big data information, ecommerce and remote monitoring platforms so our customers have an innovative and optimized customer experience when buying at Bruker. In his function as Ecommerce manager, he will focus on the setup of lean and smooth processes and interfaces to the physical world, on further developing the ecommerce process and the sales funnel design to increase revenue and customer retention

 

Objectives

The primary objectives are:

  • Enhance consumables product portfolio with 3rd party vendor partnerships
  • Ensure implementation of products as gatekeeper for SLS product management and the above mentioned objective
  • Link our online, ecommerce and remote monitoring (later big data) platforms in marketing suggestions and leverage the Bruker BioSpin eCommerce image.
  • Lead the development of the ecommerce platform and the connected processes in regards to enhancing lean aspects and optimizing customer experience

Duties:

  • Work with external third parties to assess partnership and licensing opportunities
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Continually evaluate customer needs to ensure a 360 degrees view on our current offering and potential gaps to the offering
  • Build 3rd party product business plan and negotiate initial pricing points to meet revenue and profitability goals.
  • Start initial contract negotiations and supervise final contract editorial to ensure agreements match the expectations
  • Evaluate OEM possibility with the respective product manager and procurement professional
  • Brief and train the sales force
  • Brief and collaborate closely with Marketing Communications
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Any other task assigned

 

Reporting

The position reports to the VP Global Sales Services & Lifecycle Support for BBIO, who will agree expectations, offer guidance in individual cases and provide framework support (if required). Close co-operation and teamwork is required with colleagues at Bruker sites worldwide.

Location

The normal work place is the Bruker location in Rheinstetten/Karlsruhe/Germany. However, it is required to attend Head Office on regular occasions for training, team meetings etc. Irregular hours and extensive travel throughout the assigned territory are part of the job. In light of the international engagement, ad-hoc home office working time is to be foreseen.

It will be required to travel on company business anywhere in the assigned territory, including, but not limited to, making visits to customers, clients or suppliers of the business, and attending training courses.

Qualifications

Competence

Qualifications

  •  a solid or technical background in Scientific instrumentation gained in Industry or academia
  •  a current driving licence
  •  no visa or other restriction preventing travel in the USA or EU.

Skills and Experience

  •  a clear understanding of BBIO service business processes
  •  good computer literacy, including familiarity with data system hardware and industry standard operating systems
  •  A good understanding of SAP and SAP-CRM processes ( training will be given where required)
  •  the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with good spoken and written English.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Master/Bachelor’s degree in Business Engineering
  • High level of affinity with innovative online and data driven technologies
  • Knowledge of ecommerce mechanisms, funnel building and customer journey
  • Good understanding of partnership building
  • Technical background or contact with NMR technology preferred
  • Current valid driving licence
  • No visa disqualification from the USA or EU.

Skills and Experience

  • High affinity and continual interest in developments in ecommerce, big data and online platforms like, but not limited to, social media.
  • 3rd party vendor contact initiation and partnership building skills are required.
  • Ideally experience in a job in the NMR industry
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience of supply chain challenges
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Computer literacy for document, presentation preparation and report writing
  • Excellent interpersonal communication (both written and oral) skills in local language and English
  • Proven negotiating skills.
  • Ability to deal with people at all levels.
