Responsibilities

New opportunity based in Billerica, MA for an Accounts Payable Manager to manage the entire function for Bruker Regional Finance US along with a variety of other accounting and general commercial business tasks and group employees. 

  • Responsible for the entire Accounts Payable function of the Regional Finance Shared Services.
  • Manage payment processes, including wires, ACH, credit card and checks.
  • Manage monthly inter/intra-company reconciliation of invoice balances and provides the necessary intercompany trade activity information to the Treasury department.
  • Manage vendor inquiries and business relationships.
  • Manage AP compliance with various internal controls.
  • Maintain Concur expense reporting system and perform audit of submitted expenses to ensure they are in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage the company’s credit card programs (CTA, P-card and T&E cards).
  • Maintain master vendor records and updates vendor master data.
  • Maintain vendor invoice files – paper or electronic.
  • Collect W9’s and verify tax IDs for vendors and generates 1099’s for IRS reporting.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly review and annual audits.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.
  • Hire, manage, and train Accounts Payable staff.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work assignments; conduct annual performance appraisals; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 12 year’s equivalent Accounting work experience with 6+ years’ direct supervisory experience in Accounts Payable and progressively increasing responsibility.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and SAP
  • Detail oriented with proven accuracy in working with numbers.
  • Ability to handle large volume of processing and data manipulation.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the organization, in a positive, tactful, and professional manner.
  • Current knowledge of general accounting financial services, best practices and trends, including US accounting and auditing regulations, accounting policies and practices - with unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.
  • Strong business acumen and judgment, and proven ability to think strategically about business issues.

  • Excellent organizational skills: resource management, workload prioritization and project management.  Develops and manages processes that are effective and efficient.

  • Effective at driving change and managing teams to achieve desired results.  Capable of articulating a vision or plan, gaining organizational commitment to action, and managing through others to achieve results.
