Bruker BioSpin has an opening for an Applications Specialist in Bruker China.  An imaging specialist with experience in in-vivo imaging technology and procedures for rodent’s, specifically with the technology of MRI. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains detailed technical knowledge of the specifications and operations of PCI instruments including MRI, PET/MRI, PET/CT etc.
  • Support sales in the achievement of the order plan by strategic planning and delivery of product line specific post-sales related customer support activities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Implement local educational and promotional strategies to maximize customer awareness, including outreach to share marketing and product materials.
  • Deliver application/scientific support by running demonstrations, write the sample’s reports, organizing road shows, customer visits, conference presentations all in close cooperation with our Chinese Bruker sales team and channel partners; provide services by answering customer technical inquiries via telephone, email or web chat etc, thereby contributing substantially to customer satisfaction.
  • Works closely with customers to analyze applications; assist customers in designing and conducting experiments to initiate and validate the use of PCI systems in their laboratories.
  • Communicates regularly with corporate and business units to enhance the professional knowledge, participate in frequent training on products and continuing education on new applications and technologies to remain at the cutting edge of scientific knowledge.
  • Accurately record pertinent information from customer contacts in Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Recommend changes to knowledge databases, website, and other company-managed databases of technical information.
  • Monthly reporting of activities, occasional field service of customer equipment, installation of equipment, training of customers, running demonstrations for potential customers, representing the company at conference and trade show exhibits, traveling for these activities including some international travel, submitting expense reports, assisting with marketing material preparation.
  • May be required to perform other related duties as opportunities arise.

 

Qualifications

  • M.S. or Ph.D in Radiation medicine, Applied magnetic resonance, Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering. or related field.
  • Technical background in preclinical MRI and PET/SPECT/CT imaging preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a relevant scientific establishment, or same occupation background.
  • A positive team player, self-motivated with strong analytical skills.                                                   
  • Good troubleshooting skills, scientific thinking and teaching skills are required.
  • Good presentation skills and a proven ability to educate new users about MRI imaging systems. Animal handling (mice) experience for setting up in-vivo experiments is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel in different areas within his/her coverage.
  • Proven technical writing capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, both Mandarin and English, to customers and colleagues.
  • Computer literacy, including spreadsheet, database, word processing and Internet applications
