The Bruker Semiconductor division represents Bruker products into key semiconductor accounts with a growing technology and product portfolio of Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), X-ray and White Light Interferometric (WLI) Metrology capabilities.  We are looking for a person with experience with WLI or optical metrology products in an engineering or applications role and would like add product management experience.  This will be a hands on role and is expected that up to 50% of the job will be hands on tool-time either for development, demos or marketing collateral.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The product marketing applications engineer (PMAE) will be the main point of contact supporting the BSEMI WLI product line.

  • Support sales with new opportunities and funnel developments through technical sales presentations, demos and technical roadmap meetings
  • Create winning sales tools, impactful marketing collateral and compelling applications data
  • Provide leadership to the engineering and development team as the internal voice of the customer, prioritizing development efforts and making sure that what is being developed is valuable to the customer end application
  • Facilitate product development through the PLC process with cross-functional team (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, service) to efficiently move new projects to release status
  • You will be known as the key point of contact for all product needs

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Provides tactical support to product management as first point of contact on sales related cases, RFQs, Special configurations, escalated customer issues, including support to sales admin, and feature descriptions.
  • Drives on-time follow through on deliverables cross functionally from engineering, operations, and service
  • Tracks development projects by attending weekly meetings and communicating key issues
  • Assists with promotion plans and tactical sales initiatives and responds to sales tactical marketing requests for product information, discounts, etc.
  • Ability to operate the WLI system at a high level, with deep technical knowledge of theory of operation, analysis and end application goal, ensuring the data provided beats the competition
  • Lead WLI semi product demos
  • Creates sales tools and marketing collateral

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Technical understanding of white-light interferometry, scatterometry, ellipsometry or other optical metrology techniques
  • Understanding of advanced technology node semiconductor manufacturing process. Understanding of existing or potential optical metrology applications is preferred.
  • Business-oriented, pragmatic and comfortable acting quickly and decisively and without daily oversight.
  • Effective understanding of financial concepts relating to contractual arrangements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience in problem solving, coordinating cross-functional solutions and responding to non-standard customer requests.
  • Ability to work well with limited supervision and in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with PowerPoint for presentations
  • Ability to interface with challenging clients, engaging in a constructive manner.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Typically requires a 3 to 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or an advanced degree with 1-2 years experience.
  • Travel up to 30% of time (domestic and international).
  • Experience operating semiconductor metrology equipment, preferably in a fab or sales applications role.
