The main responsibility of the Nuclear Molecular Imaging (NMI) Market Product Manager (MPM) is to focus on the needs and the growth of the assigned NMI market and customer segment, to support the business through the sales and marketing teams, and to provide input and feedback to the application and product development teams. In his role as a market product manager, he strongly interacts with the KOL and reference sites, supports customer collaborations and provides training to customer and to the internal sales team.


The MPM has a strong social network in the NMI market.

The MPM holds a strong market and sales orientation and is expected to shape key market messages, successfully launch new products, ensure operational sales readiness, and provide input to the product life cycle process. The MPM holds deep and profound knowledge on all nuclear molecular imaging technologies (PET/SPECT) and its combinations with MRI or CT, knows well all current applications and application trends. The MPM is ideally based in Ettlingen (close to Karlsruhe, Germany) and closely coordinates functional activities with Sales, Marketing Communications, Product Management, and Application Scientists worldwide. High flexibility for up to 50% international travel is expected.



  • Leading the assigned markets to profitability and expansion
  • Development of the assigned markets by securing investments in products to bring to those markets, based on a business case made to internal stakeholders
  • Creation of annual business plans for the assigned markets
  • Alignment with head of the business unit and the head of sales for the execution of the business plan
  • Performance monitoring and gap closing measures for the business of the assigned market
  • New product launches, field marketing and communication planning for the products in the assigned markets
  • Case and product specific sales support on a daily and strategic basis
  • Train the sales channels in value propositions, Unique Selling Propositions and applications of the products
  • Internal and external documentation of the products in the market (including global / regional quotes and sales prices, sales presentations, application notes, marketing material, market specific product documentation)
  • Initiate the development of new products, applications and solutions, based on Use Cases, total costs of ownership analysis, profitability analysis, market shares, market evolution, expansion and risks, competition analysis
  • Voice of the customer for the product development process
  • Perform customer application support and training as required.
  • Manage sales and marketing-driven customer collaborations on an operational level.




The Product Marketing Manager role is linked with the following main organization processes:

  • Lead to after-market process
  • Product Life Cycle process
  • Product Marketing and Marketing Communication process

Perform other duties as required. 




  • Excellent knowledge on the applications, value chains, processes and technologies used in the nuclear molecular imaging market, including products and solutions that are not offered by BBIO in that market.
  • The MPM can communicate with customers on identical professional and scientific levels on applications and solutions.
  • Strong network within the NMI market and the ability to build relationships with key customers/thought leader
  • Minimum of 3 years scientific and/or professional experience in PET and/or SPECT nuclear molecular imaging applications and relevant technical expertise in the PET and SPECT technologies
  • Master degree or PhD degree in one of the fields of applications of the assigned product(s).
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, and proposal communication and presentation skills, including fluent English, advanced MS Office Suite proficiency.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Sales Force.
  • Working knowledge of product management and life cycle processes.
  • Highly self- motivated individual with a strong work ethic, experience with high performance teams in a global, multi-cultural organization, and demonstrated excitement for new challenges and opportunity.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and positive business relationships.
  • Proven flexibility with ability to prioritize and manage differing time constraints. 
  • Ability to maintain valid passport with flexibility for up to 50% international travel.
