Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for the integration and qualification of complete and partial systems for various Bruker product lines.  Each system is assembled and tested to a specific customer order requiring timeliness of completion and accuracy of configuration.  This job includes trouble shooting and the correction of mechanical and electrical problems and requires skill in these areas.  The position requires an ability to work productively individually or as part of a group.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assembling, aligning and testing of products to requried specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues or malfunction events to keep dateline
  • Ensure testing meets both internal QC standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Documentation of test results

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May include:

  • Participation on new product release teams
  • Conducting training on the testing and use of Bruker systems
  • Participating in improvement projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to perform corrective actions based on test results
  • Advanced ability to trouble shoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues
  • Ability to perform electrical and mechanical precision alignment, i.e. z-corrections as well as pitch and linearity corrections
  • Interfacing with ME and R&D 
  • Basic computer skills; Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills; Technical aptitude
  • Basic mechanical abilities required. 
  • Must be able to lift ~50 lbs.

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing testing environment.
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Electronics/Electrical/Mechatronic preferred
