For our Service & Support team in Germany we are looking for an Field Service Engineer (m/w/d) for Germany, preferable located in area between Nürnberg, Dresden and Leipzig.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out repair, maintenance and qualification work on in vitro diagnostic equipment, including IQ, OQ and PV procedures and GMP compliance, at the customer’s premises, in some cases with short-notice deployment
  • Inspection, installation and commissioning of equipment at the customer’s premises in accordance with the relevant specifications
  • Providing technical support to customers via telephone or remote maintenance
  • Providing technical support to the sales team in the event of unusual sales-related queries
  • Travel within Germany and, in exceptional cases, worldwide
  • Supporting the central internal repair department as required

Qualifications

  • A completed apprenticeship as an electrical or medical devices technician with experience in biotechnology and physical engineering, or a comparable degree.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Hands‑on experience with molecular diagnostic instruments in a laboratory setting would be a significant advantage.
  • Ideally, you should live or have your main place of residence in the area between Nürnberg, Dresden and Leipzig.
  • Ability to analyse equipment failures and identify solutions to the resulting customer issues
  • Good knowledge of LIS (Laboratory Information Systems) and Lab IT infrastructure to ensure seamless instrument integration and remote connection
  • Experience with CRM Service tools for reporting and task management
  • Good computer skills with common operating systems
  • Customer-focused mindset, flexibility and mobility
  • A communicative personality combined with a friendly and confident manner when dealing with customers, even under pressure.
  • Structured, independent and highly reliable working style
  • Fluency in German and English are necessary
  • Readiness to travel at least 80%
  • Valid Class B driving licence
