Responsibilities

 

The Sales manager will do Business Development In India for Tofwerk product line  - Reporting, Sales Cycle Management, Cross-functional Collaboration with global team by working closely with country manager.

  • Develop the sales funnel by doing lead generation and opportunity creation in India
  • Develop sales channels for different regions across India and manage
  • Manage the sales cycle: lead generation, technical discussions (with support from country manager and application specialists), quote preparation, negotiation, and order closure.
  • Drive sales growth for mass spectrometry systems and solutions across India and build the Tofwerk-Bruker brand value
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan with the help of the country manager to expand our customer base in academia, research institutes for environmental (air quality monitoring) and semiconductor etc.
  • Coordinate closely with the country manager, global team, marketing, and application teams to align on positioning, demos, and campaigns.
  • Organize and participate in customer visits, product seminars, workshops, trade shows, and conferences to increase market visibility.

Responsibilities will include 

  • Regular field visits and customer meetings across the region (India), up to 70 % travel as required.
  • Preparing and delivering technical and commercial presentations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Leading tender/bid preparation, including technical compliance, documentation, and pricing strategy with e-procurements tenders
  • Maintaining and updating CRM with leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Physics/Chemistry/Instrumentation, Analytical Sciences, or related engineering discipline. PhD would be plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales of analytical instruments (preferably Mass Spectrometry, TOFMS, ICP-MS, GC-MS, or high-mass spectrometry systems).
  • Expereince with Salesforce/ CRM tool and SAP
  • Understanding of mass spectrometry principles and applications; ability to discuss MS benefits with technical users. Experience with air quality monitoring and semiconductor gas monitoring customer base would be plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the  scientific/analytical instrumentation domain.
  • Experience with tendering process with central e-procurement and other government tender portals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; Hindi and any other  regional language skills are a plus.
  • Working experience with  National level institutes (IITs, ISRO labs, Environmental Institutes) universities, national labs, semiconductor fabs, pharma, contract labs, or OEMs is a strong advantage.
  • High level of self-motivation, ownership, and willingness to travel frequently within India.
