SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

For Bruker Nano Surfaces and Metrology Business (BNSM) in the UK & Ireland

1. Selling a portfolio of scientific instruments including: Optical Profilometry, Stylus Profilometry, Mechanical & Tribological testers, Ellipsometry & Reflectometry, accessories and upgrades to meet or exceed sales targets for the relevant Business Units in your sales territory.
2. Sales territory strategic and tactical planning and execution
3. Regular reporting on status and progress to the Sales Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Develop and execute sales growth strategies
2. Own a direct sales territory and work with sales applications team and field assistants
3. Prospecting to generate leads, qualifying leads, visiting customers and following a defined sales process up until purchase order
4. Product presentations at conferences, seminars, workshops and customer sites as required
5. Develop a strong understanding of competitive and funding landscape within the territory
6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ability to establish collaborations with key customers
7. Feedback to BNSM sales management on the development and execution of sales strategy
8. Regular and accurate sales forecasting via CRM

WORK LOCATION:

UK, home based. Near Bruker office in Coventry advantageous.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

 Up to 60% travel as required to support the role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

5. Solid understanding of surface measurement techniques

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. Degree in Materials Science, Engineering or other Scientific discipline mandatory, PhD advantageous.
2. Knowledge of Optical Profilometry, Stylus Profilometry, Mechanical & Tribological testers, Ellipsometry & Reflectometry preferred.
3. Sales experience in related field desired
4. Ability to grow and take on additional responsibilities
