Responsibilities

This role comes with a variety of responsibilities, but also with freedom in your day-2-day work.

  • Your main activities will be focused on PET and SPECT imaging modalities, integrating new features and software components into our software solutions. Hereby you are involved in the requirements analysis, design, implementation, optimization and maintenance for components and features.
  • Within the international team, you will be involved in the further development of the software architecture, in particular with respect to design of backend interfaces for integration of further imaging modalities and systems (including AI-based functionalities in distributed systems).
  • Furthermore, you are supporting definition and realization of respective software tests as well documentation of the new functionalities.
  • As an expert, you assist as contact person for our Service regarding second/third level support.

Qualifications

  • You are well-equipped with having a deep-rooted & broad-banded understanding of modern software development with at least a degree of Master of Sciences in computer science / informatics, electrical engineering with a focus on software engineering or equivalent.
  • English language (min. B2) and Spanish language (C1) is needed as the work will be in the framework of an international team.
  • You have at least four years of experience in professional software development in which you have worked with state-of-the-art tools for software development (version control, CI/CD, issue tracking systems, etc.).
  • You have experience with Java, C++ and Postgres databases, with a strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming. It will be desirable to have knowledge of Python, and experience with distributed multi-threaded applications using state of the art network based inter process communication techniques.
  • You best fit our needs, having worked on imaging or image processing and (2D/3D) visualization software, in both Linux and Windows environments.
