At Bruker Optics GmbH & Co. KG in Ettlingen – Business Area Science (Advanced R&D and Academic Applications) – we are offering a role for a: Working Student (m/f/d) – FTIR Applications and Product Support (15-20 hours / week).


Are you a student with a passion for science and technology, looking to gain hands-on experience in spectroscopy, marketing, and product development? Join our BA Science team and help us support high-end R&D and academic customers with powerful FTIR solutions.

Responsibilities

Your Tasks:

  • Assist in FTIR measurements for advanced research and academic applications (e.g., literature search, sample preparation, conducting measurements, data analysis, and presentation)
  • Support the creation of marketing materials: presentations, product notes, application notes, and short videos
  • Help with software testing
  • Contribute to the development of tools (e.g., demos, visuals, simulations) to better explain and present our products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Application, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development)

Qualifications

Your Profile:

  • Enrolled student in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related scientific field
  • Basic knowledge of FTIR spectroscopy is required (e.g., from coursework or lab work); knowledge of other spectroscopy methods is beneficial
  • Strong interest in analytical instrumentation, spectroscopy, and scientific communication.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • Creative mindset with enthusiasm for visual storytelling, tools, and technology
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Comfortable with basic data handling, software tools (programming skills are a plus), and content creation platforms
