We are seeking an experienced (Senior) GL Specialist  (m/f/d) to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute significantly to our financial operations and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for execution of operational sub-process
  • Drive the timely completion of monthly financial closing activities
  • Conduct in-depth balance sheet analyses and reconciliations
  • Prepare VAT declarations in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain General Ledger master data and ensure data integrity
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial reports
  • Assists in implementation of activities to streamline and standardize operations
  • Support financial statement preparation and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making
  • Assists Team Lead as needed; participate in special projects
  • Proactive resolution of day-to-day issues

Qualifications

To be successful in the role we need you to:

  • Have Minimum 4 years of General Ledger experience required (former experience with US GAAP) 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and Finance / ACCA/ SKWP courses
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English and Germaan (B2 level)
  • Very good knowledge of SAP ERP 
  • Have advanced computer proficiency with MS Office Suite including Excel expertise
  • Demonstrate ability to work on and own initiatives
  • Have organizational skills, be open-minded and receptive to change
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, then make clear and timely decisions
  • Be self-reliance and ability to escalate appropriately
