We are looking starting from August / September in full-time for a Sales Specialist (m/f/d) for the UK North region.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Bruker Microbiology & Infection Diagnostics (BMID) sales in North UK as a sales representative.
  • Channel and control the activities for constant growth across our full BMID product portfolio.
  • Responsible for managing and driving the annual business plan for BMID sales in your region.
  • Execute an annual quota of BMID new order bookings and consumable sales contracts for your region by:
  • Finding new customers in clinical and industrial settings using a variety of tools ranging from personal networking to internet searches.
  • Contributing to marketing activities by working with the marketing team to compose relevant advertisements, newsletters, and mailings.
  • Qualifying potential sales leads by discussion with and understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Arranging and hosting customer demonstrations in the UK & European demo centres (Glasgow, Amsterdam & Bremen) as well as at current customer sites.
  • Generate quotations and manage relevant UK tendering processes. Managing tenders from submission, to successful award, to implementationa and post award contract management.
  • Create competitive pricing strategies in line with regional financial targets whilst being attractive to the relevant market segment.
  • Arrange exhibitions and seminars at conferences within the UK.
  • Maintain a relationship with existing customers and manage post-sale activities.
  • Continual market observation and analysis, as well as the active reception of customer demands and interests, which may lead to an improvement of our solutions and offerings.
  • Ensure CRM tools are kept up to date and internal data processing requirements are followed to enable proper customer tracking and post sales success.

Qualifications

  • BSc or equivalent in Biomedical Sciences, Life or Analytical Science with some postgraduate experience, either in diagnostics or industry.
  • Background in Microbiology including bacterial ID, sepsis workflow and antibiotic susceptibility testing.
  • Must be an outgoing and likeable individual with a high degree of personal integrity.
  • Double competencies in Analytical technologies and Sales is required.
  • Self-motivation is essential, as is a willingness to work with others toward a shared goal.
  • Well organized and able to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.
  • A high standard of verbal and written English is a prerequisite.
  • Field based with willingness to travel regularly and hold a current valid driving license.
