Responsibilities

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Planner is responsible for production planning functions, which involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. He / she implements planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements to meet on time deliveries. The Production Planner reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules and track any order changes while ensuring customer deliveries on time.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Plan production sequence based on product technical specification to meet required delivery date.
  • Provide material to production by opening work orders generating pick-lists and closing work orders after completion.
  • Drive and support production teams to secure work orders and sales order completion on time.
  • Liaise with Logistics department to get required materials on production floor on time.
  • Liaise with purchasing department to ensure purchase orders meet the demand.
  • Load and monitor material demand in ERP system.
  • Evaluate and resolve demand discrepancies in ERP system.
  • Participate in cross-functional team coordination whenever necessary.
  • Track demand trends and makes appropriate proposals to management to avoid stock-out situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Problem-solving oriented mindset.
  • Self-starter.
  • Excellent skills in data analysis (turning data into information).
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Teams).
  • Should be familiar with an ERP system (scheduling and inventory control). Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Should be familiar with a CRM/planning system. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

 

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 7 years of planning/scheduling, or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Additional experience in a purchasing environment is a plus.
  • Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a business discipline, or equivalent.
