Responsibilities

The Transfer Pricing Team Lead(er) manages the execution of operational transfer pricing process, leading a team of up to five employees. Responsibilities include identifying and implementing process optimizations, supporting transfer pricing audits, contributing to policy development, managing risks, and overseeing talent management within the team. The TP Team Lead works closely with the TP Global Director, who holds accountability for the entire TP process

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a small team of functional specialists by distributing daily tasks, while ensuring high-quality operational process delivery (execution, reviews, and issue resolution)
  • Serve as a first contact point and Subject Matter Expert for operational questions relating to transfer pricing, providing advice on transfer pricing analysis & models
  • Manage day-to-day issues, escalate service incidents when necessary
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process enhancements within TP to ensure continuous improvement and collaborate with other departments to implement overarching changes
  • Support transfer pricing audits
  • Establish streamlined communication and feedback with the business and other stakeholders to reflect changes in the TP process
  • Identify potential risks, assess their impact, develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Promote a service culture and awareness for audit-proof execution of processes and documentation within the team to ensure operational excellence
  • Manage and develop talents within the TP team

Qualifications

To be successful in the role we need you to:

  • Education - B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, or Economics; US-GAAP experience strongly preferred
  • Language skills - English (min. C1) required, German/French/Italian (B1) will be a plus
  • IT skills - Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel; Advanced experience with SAP systems (R/3, S/4HANA); Ideally, experience with data analytics / process automation tools (e.g. VBA, Alteryx, Power BI)
  • Have minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in transfer pricing or comparable activities, including 2-3 years in a managing role
  • Comprehensive expertise in (operational) transfer pricing processes, benchmarking analysis, acquisitions, tax laws, and transfer pricing regulations, with experience in reviewing tax provisions from a transfer pricing perspective
  • Keen attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to critically evaluate situations, assess their importance, urgency, and risks, and communicate these effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with an open-minded and adaptable attitude towards change
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple tasks
  • Competence in working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Readiness to travel - Maintain a valid passport, with flexibility for travel
