Responsibilities

The Sr. Service Engineer will be based in Taipei, but have to travel to customer locations within the Taiwan to service or maintain customer X-ray Equipment and associated devices, or oversea travel for Specialized Training.  The responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Customer phone assistance for preliminary troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Perform Customer training on the alignment and use of their X-ray Equipment.
  • Complete installations of X-ray equipment include accessories and the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of same.
  • Complete and submit a weekly report to the service manager of all customer problems.
  • Complete and submit Service Reports using Bruker ServiceMAX on all service work performed.
  • Maintain and update Customer Profiles as changes occur to customer equipment.
  • Complete and submit monthly expense reports to the service manager.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • International travel to Bruker factories in Germany required to learn new techniques and service methods associated with Bruker systems.
  • Able to complete various trainings within the scope of job requirements.
  • Adhere to all defined procedural guidelines for Bruker.
  • Ensure that overall customer satisfaction in the territory is maintained at the highest level possible, by responding to customer inquiries, needs, and/or complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Schedule and complete ServiceMAX assigned service jobs in a timely fashion, including performance validations using company certified procedures; problem diagnosis and on-site system repair; align, repair, replace, check circuitry as required; reassemble and calibrate instruments and equipment.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information about territory customers in the Service MAX databases.
  • As required by the TW Service Manager, provide dedicated for the Service Hotline by responding to customer support emails and phone calls in a timely fashion during non-travel office days.
  • Provide technical assistance to local Sales Manager for new product sales by means of customer visits, participation in product demonstrations, and other commercial activities.

ENVIRONMENT AND HOURS:

  • Standard work week of 40 hours, although there is occasionally a need for staff to work beyond this limit.
  • Available for unrestricted travel within Taiwan and Europe.
  • Need to enter universities, research institutes, factories, semiconductors and other places to provide services.

Qualifications

To be successful for this position, you shall possess:

  • Study of electrical engineering / electronics, physics, mechatronics or comparable degree
  • Experience in the configuration of computer systems and software
  • Above 4 years of experience in field service of analysis systems
  • Strong communication skills and goal orientation
  • Structured, self-sufficient, as well as self-motivated way of working
  • Analytical mindset
  • High willingness to travel locally and abroad
  • Experience in X-ray equipment, EDX and XRM is a plus
  • Fluency in English, written and verbal, is required.
