Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day assembly operations (including warehouse and planning) in close collaboration with manufacturing engineer, purchasing, and the test field.
  • Lead, coach and develop the assembly team into a high-performing customer-centric operation.
  • Manage the assembly budget and track performance metrics to ensure assembly efficiency.
  • Recruit (together with operational manager) and train new hires for establishing a highly qualified team
  • Develop assembly capacity and assembly plan according to demand capacity
  • Ensure a safe work environment and ensure all accidents, incidents are thoroughly investigated and resultant actions (training, procedures…) completed in a timely manner
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the assembly area + warehouse and collaborate in process improvement projects with all adjacent functions.
  • Form a close relationship with the on-site product development team and support new product development and introductions, together with Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Form a close relationship with Team Lead Testfield to realize common goals, e.g. shipping and revenue target

The Team Lead Assembly collaborates closely with the Manufacturing Engineer Assembly in their daily business and long-term projects (New Products Introduction) and works closely with other cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

  • Affinity for technology and have a thorough understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes, production methods, ideally in X-Ray domain.

  • experience in relevant software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus

Education and experience

Bachelor in technical or quality field, or equivalent

Min. 4 years in production, assembly, manufacturing or quality, preferable as team leader or equivalent

Fluent in Dutch and English
