Overview

Provide technical support and service, including but not limited to calibration, testing, troubleshooting, repair and installation of semiconductor equipment at customer sites located throughout the world.  Provide customer training and remote support to customers and other field service representatives as needed. Extensive travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform factory and onsite installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of semiconductor equipment at customer sites throughout the world
  • Provide remote technical support to other field service representatives
  • Interface with customers with a strong focus on customer satisfaction 
  • Provide cross training to other field service representatives
  • Write and/or modify technical procedures and other related documentation as required
  • Manage down equipment events with a strong sense of ownership from initial notification to closure – fostering a mutually agreed root cause identification and correction
  • Provide first level applications support to the customer
  • Manage spare parts inventory and ensure proper paperwork on parts consumed
  • Document failures through failure analysis and corrective action systems
  • Regularly interface with manufacturing, engineering, and applications groups
  • Provide emergency onsite field service during critical system down events
  • Perform other duties as requested

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar position
  • Significant experience in electronics and with high voltage electrical equipment
  • At least 2 year’s experience working with lasers
  • electrical, electronics, pneumatic, computer/software, mechanical, robotics related skills

 

Suggested Minimum Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Electronics
  • At least two years’ experience in capital equipment troubleshooting/service for capital equipment in the semiconductor industry
  • Documented experience working with electronics
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel software
  • Ability to travel extensively (as needed) domestically and internationally
  • Strong interpersonal and English communication skills
