Bruker Cellular Analysis (the “Company”) is looking for a Field Application Scientist with a strong Cell Biology and Immunology background to help our customers develop workflows, train users and troubleshoot processes primarily in Japan (back up rest of Asia). This position will be integral in supporting a rapidly evolving technology platforms enabling single cell assay, cell culture, antibody & cell therapy discovery, and cell line development. This is a highly visible position that prioritizes customer success and has direct ties to top management.

Responsibilities

As a Field Application Scientist, your duties include but no limited to:

  • Provide training & technical support to Biopharma/Academic customers on platform instrumentation, software, and microfluidic workflows.
  • Assist customers in experimental design and workflow automation for Cell Line Development, Antibody Discovery, T-cell Profiling workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance to customers for troubleshooting workflows, instrumentation, and software.
  • Work closely with commercial team/Dealer Partners to achieve revenue goal including presales activities such as seminars, conferences, and feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate with FSE for platform installation process, including site inspection, instrument installation, platform validation and execution of quality verification tests.
  • Timely collect, communicate, and document new feature requests, future application needs and platform improvement feedback to HQ product management team.
  • Conduct regular follow-up meetings with key accounts to ensure success in adoption of BCA technologies and accelerate consumable growth.
  • Organize monthly meetings with key accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you will possess: 

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Immunology, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related life science field.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting Biopharma & Academic customers on life science platforms in technical field support role.
  • Ability to independently support and troubleshoot complex instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with cell/tissue culture, cell-based assays, cell imaging/ flow cytometry/ fluorescent microscopy platforms; experience in modern molecular and cell biology techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in early-stage technology development with demanding schedules and deliverables.
  • Support feasibility studies or collaborate with HQ team in the pre-sales stage.
  • Provide timely support for Center of Excellence and Collaboration projects.
  • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills to clearly articulate ideas, problems, and solutions.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service (customer centric)
  • Willing to travel for 50% of time.
  • Proficient data analysis skills
  • Experience with CRM software (SFDC)
  •  Ability to perform the above duties autonomously in the local language.
