Responsibilities

  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned region to generate new business for Bruker’s FT-NMR BT product line and solutions along all market verticals.
  • Understanding the different customers’ value chains, critical success factors, and key initiatives based on which the account plan and sales strategy is developed. Communicating how the product line addresses customer’s needs.
  • Meeting (or exceeding) defined sales volume targets.
  • Observing and reporting on competitive and market trends towards the commercial organization and relevant stakeholders like Market and Product Management.
  • Oral and written negotiations with customers, suppliers, partner companies and internal departments.
  • Studying all aspects of the FT-NMR BT market, including technology development, business opportunities, and industrial regulations, to promote sales in close collaboration with Regional and Market Sales.
  • Maintaining all sales-related information in the company’s CRM (SalesForce.com) on an up-to-date basis, including leads, accounts, opportunities, and sales funnel management.
  • Evaluating needs and negotiating contracts directly with accounts or indirectly with 3rd Party (distributors/agents).
  • Developing existing and building new customer relationships ensuring Bruker is seen as a long-term business partner.
  • Conducting telephone calls and in-person visits to communicate latest product offerings via presentations and other communication media. Arranging for product demonstrations (on-site, remote, measurements only) with FT-NMR BT Application Scientists as necessary.
  • Producing clear and effective written proposals and quotations using company provided quoting tools; maintaining quoted prices within pre-defined pricing matrix; negotiating contract terms and conditions within company guidelines.
  • Communicating regularly with the team working along Agile principles and providing timely updates on all sales opportunities in the region, including likely and not likely purchasing decisions.
  • Coordinating effort to communicate customer problems and complaints to the appropriate stakeholders, e.g., sales, service.
  • Participating in trade shows and conferences as appropriate.

Other duties as assigned that are broadly in line with the above and key objectives

Qualifications

  • Diplom/ Master's degree in Physico-Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related discipline OR 10+ years of equivalent sales work experience
  • Optional: Advanced degree or advanced business degree is a plus
  • NMR knowledge and experience in NMR business is a plus
  • MS, Raman, FTIR spectroscopy knowledge and experience in Analytical business is a plus
  • Additional qualifications:
  • Ability to maintain valid passport with flexibility for domestic, overnight, and international travel
  • Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state or governing location is a plus
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation
  • working permit status required
