Responsibilities

New opportunity for a Director Global Transfer Pricing to lead and oversee all TP tax-related matters for Bruker. This global role involves developing, enhancing, monitoring and implementing tax strategies to further optimize Bruker’s tax position while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws across multiple jurisdictions.

 

  • Develop, monitor, enhance, and implement tax strategies to further optimize Bruker’s tax position while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Develop, optimize, and execute TP strategies tailored to the unique business operations and goals of Bruker, especially in the EMEA region. 
  • Manage and coordinate TP planning, TP execution, TP compliance, and TP reporting activities globally.
  • Oversee the Operational TP execution and manage the OTP execution process during the periodical TP review cycles.
  • Remain current with relevant changes in tax laws and regulations for the countries that Bruker operates in: assess and communicate their impact on the company's operations and tax liabilities. 
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on tax-related matters to senior management and business units within the region. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, treasury and business development teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and transactions. 
  • Lead and manage the OTP function: build and maintain positive and effective work relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities. 
  • Monitor and mitigate tax risks and exposures through effective risk management strategies and solid (sox)controls. 
  • Support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses. 
  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Tax and regional executive leadership on tax planning projects and initiatives, including optimization of transfer pricing, supply chain, M&A structuring, due diligence, and integration planning. 
  • Establish TP policies to ensure compliance with Global/EMEA wide/Local/and or Provincial tax laws and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master in Taxation, CPA, MST, JD or equivalent) preferred. 
  • 10 years years of extensive international tax and transfer pricing working experience, typically gained in Big Four public accounting and/or within multinational operating entities. 
  • Deep and broad working knowledge of EMEA tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements with significant exposure to transfer pricing, operational transfer pricing, M&A integration planning activities. 
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing tax strategies that drive business objectives and mitigate tax risks.
  • Basic understanding of the key international tax concepts of US Tax regulations (including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F). 
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with proven ability to recruit, hire, and develop tax talent. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify tax issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions. 
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and business acumen to proactively communicate and align tax initiatives with overall corporate goals and objectives.
  • Possesses core Finance competencies such as People Management, Collaboration & Teamwork, Influence & Communication, Business Insight, Project Management, Process Improvement, Decision Making, Critical Thinking Analysis, Drives for Results, and Finance Expertise.
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, technical, negotiation and influence, interpersonal communication and presentation skills with advanced technology skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite, fluency in English required.
  • Proven hands-on work experience with software programs such as ONESOURCE and Financial Reporting Systems (JDEdwards, Oracle, SAP).
  • Advanced technical, quantitative, and analytical skills, including tax research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic globally diverse work environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Operates at the highest standards of business ethics, honesty, personal integrity, and professionalism.
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation.
