Responsibilities

In your role as Strategic Purchasing your main tasks will be compose - but not limited - to the below fields:

  • Act as business partner towards all related internal and external stakeholders for own area of responsibility.
  • Manage and develop supplier base, performance, relationships and
    negotiations in close cooperation with the respective business lines
  • Ensure sourcing objectives and targets on Quality, Lead Times and Cost are
    met in own area of responsibility
  • Create and update agreements with suppliers, maintain material/supplier master data in relevant parts
  • Lead role in contract and purchasing negotiations, secure capacity and
    forecasting
  • Manage supplier performance and relationships, gather, and analyze spend
    and supplier data, execute benchmarking, provide data to the relevant
    functions
  • Analyze future supply demand in cooperation with the respective functions and stakeholders
  • Support non-conformity/warranty process management in escalated issues
  • Secure compliance to Supply Management processes/procedures,
    strategies and agreements
  • Execute/support material/services for cost budgeting and follow-up
  • Execute/support supplier selection/rationalization process

Qualifications

As an ideal candidate:

  • You own a Bachelor/ Master degree (or equivalent) in relevant areas of expertise e.g., economics, industrial engineering or similar.
  • You are a hands-on person with min. 5 years’ experience in strategic purchasing or other relevant areas.
  • You are keen to learn and develop yourself. applying out of the box thinking.
  • You see strategic purchasing including sourcing as of the main support function securing business continuity and sustainable growth.
  • You gain experience in leading and driving project in a cross-functional team setup.
  • Sufficient business English and German.
  • Applying your experience to form and built up the strategy for own are of responsibility is your main motivation drivers.
  • Clear and transparent and trustworthy way of working.
  • You are communicating clear and straight to the point.
  • Building networks.
  • You are experienced in common SAP transactions and standard processes in procurement.
  • Willingness to travel approx. 25% mainly in EU
