The function of the Variant Configurator Analyst (m/f/d) is to develop and maintain the Variant Configuration models, business rules, and associated master data (BOM/Routing) for configurable products in SAP.  The coordinator will provide variant configuration expertise and Bruker's modeling rules to ensure any new requirements will allow for global reporting while meeting customer and business needs. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Review the VC Template spreadsheet submitted by the business global stakeholders and provide feedback recommendations based on Bruker’s modeling guidelines.
  • Create & maintain the Variant Configuration models within the SAP environment.
  • Follow consistent SAP best practice modeling techniques on configurable items to maintain global
  • Maintain a strong understanding of variant configurator data requirements in the SAP production environment and the impacts of data elements on all enterprise systems.
  • Test configurable models to ensure business requirements are met and defined bills of materials and routings are accurate.
  • Facilitate and/or participate in business process improvement and change sessions in support of the company’s process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure process efficiency and configurable product data quality for all functions within the SAP system.
  • Perform integration testing of the variant configurator models in SAP production environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience 
  • 3 years of SAP ERP experience with a background in Production Planning & Control, Variant Configuration and Engineering Change Management processes;
  • 2 years in manufacturing industry with knowledge of multi-level configurations, make to order, make to stock, and order execution and control.
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems and or Technology with focus on quality assurance.
  • At least 2-5 years experience in SAP Variant Configuration.
  • At least 1 year experience in support and training of SAP Variant Configuration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Language: Good English and one additional language (Preferable German)
