Responsibilities

The Market Sales Representative – Industrial  (IND) is responsible for lead execution of the IND Market Sales strategy in China , with the key objective to deliver on defined sales targets (Quarterly) and to drive growth in the Battery and Polymer Market. They are accountable for defining a Business/Sales Plan to successfully grow BBIO business in stated markets, and achieve the business goals defined as per the BBIO strategic Business Plan (5Y).

The Market Sales Representative - IND will work in close collaboration with the Head of Business Unit Industrial, as well as with the Regional Sales group, to define and execute customized Go to Market approaches and to support Key Account sales strategy in the IND Market, thus enabling BBIO to leverage its full existing Solution Portfolio across customers value chains.

The Market Sales Representative - IND will deliver the annual and quarterly growth in NOBs and revenue, in a profitable way, and in accordance with BBIO’s annual and quarterly financial objective for the IND Market in the defined territory.

He/She is responsible for the sales of BBIO total solutions in the IND market, and potentially specific selected Key Accounts (especially in the Battery and Polymer Market segment). This role will generate sustainable growth by broadening value, with existing and novel solutions (for the customer end-to-end value chain), while strengthening the business and partnerships with established customers.

He/She has advanced specialized knowledge and understanding of the IND market and should become a trusted partner for our customers in that segment. He/She will also develop our business by pro-actively targeting new customers in full alignment within the Commercial Organization.

The Business Development Manager Battery and Polymer Market Segment China is responsible for lead execution of the IND Battery Market Business Development in China with the key objective to develop and implement effective strategies and action plans to grow the BBIO Battery business and increase the market share and profitability in China.

He/she is accountable for defining a Business/Sales Plan to successfully grow BBIO business in the battery markets, covering the whole supply chain, and achieve the business goals defined as per the IND strategic Business Plan for the Battery and Polymer Market.

The Business Develpment Manager Battery and Polymer Market Segment will establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners in the Battery and the Polymer  market segment, and identify new business opportunities and potential collaborations.

He/She will provide technical and commercial support and guidance to the sales and marketing teams, as well as the customers, on the battery products and solutions.

He/She will conduct market research and competitive analysis and provide insights and recommendations to the Sales Management and the Product Management.

 

The Business Develpment Manager Battery and Polymer Market Segment will observe and evaluate the new trends in battery technology in both regions, such as solid-state batteries, sodium-ion batteries, LMFP batteries, organosilicon electrolyte batteries, gold nanowire gel electrolyte batteries, and string cell™ batteries123 and develop and implement effective strategies and action plans to adapt the battery business to the new technologies and increase competitiveness and profitability in both regions.

 

He/She will build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and partners in the battery market segment, and identify new business opportunities and potential collaborations in the field of new battery technologies and provide technical and commercial support and advice to the Sales, Product and Marketing teams as well as to customers on the battery products and solutions based on the new technologies.

Qualifications

Required Skills and experiences (IT, language, working skills/experience)

  • Bachelor Degree or 5+ years’ commensurate experience with active progress toward industry-related education. MS and or PhD desirable.
  • Experience with US Stock-Listed standard, compliance training (code of conduct / FCPA…)
  • High Standard Sales methodology training (I.e. Miller Heiman strategic selling…)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Current valid driving licence
  • No visa disqualification from the USA or EU or China

Required Skills and experiences (IT, language, working skills/experience)

  • A driven and highly motivated, self-starting sales professional with successful track record in selling high value capital equipment.
  • 5+ years’ work experience including minimum 3 years’ sales experience driving and managing a portfolio of technical life science industry product sales with associated market knowledge of Industrial markets
  • Able to demonstrate proven, successful sales experience in increasingly responsible roles across multiple vertical and market segments
  • Successful track record of key account sales management and business growth in Industrial/ Academia or an adjacent industry sector.
  • Strong experience of usage and understanding of Complex & Strategic Selling strategies for business development and account share growth .
  • Expertise in value chain management with proven analytical and problem solving abilities required to diagnosis customer needs and propose technical solutions that address business requirements.
  • Previous exposure to NMR / associated analytical technologies is required.Deep understanding of IND customer value chains. Has expertise with Value Chain Management and the provision of technical solutions to address a business requirement within in the value chain.
  • Possess and further develop strong network of contacts in stated Market segments
  • Demonstrated experience with cost analysis and justifications required and the ability to present developed business case analysis to executive management.
  • Can demonstrate and convey theoretical and practical understanding of NMR/TD/EPR technology as well as competing analytical tools (MS, IR)
  • Excellent Chinese and English verbal, written, computer, technical, and proposal communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite - inc MS Teams
  • Experience in daily use and maintainence of Salesforce.com / SAP or similar CRM tool
  • Additional languages relevant to the stated territory would be advantageous.
